I have a PC that needs to perform task-to-task communications with a PDP. The PDP uses a non-DEC written DECnet that requires one padding byte. (It emulates DECnet). The DECnet software I have found for the PC either generates two or no padding bytes. Yes, I know the software on the PDP is not working correctly. It should parse the number of padding bytes. And NO, there is no chance the PDP's software will be fixed. (It is not written in the U.S.A.) Therefore, I have the job of finding a DECnet for the PC that uses one and only one padding byte. Any ideas? Can anyone tell me if DECnet-DOS uses one and only one padding byte? Dean Roth Merge Technologies P.O.
