I'm trying to determine whether the video output of the VS3100 and VS3520/3540 workstations will drive an existing Ikegami monitor. (actually, the Ikegami is the one marketed by Ramtek). I've been getting a fair-to-middling non-response from DEC, usually on the order of, "you have to use OUR monitor," which I translate to mean, "you have to BUY our monitor." The Ramtek comes with a manual which says it is RS-343 compatible, something like 25-38kHz scan frequency. It was previously driven by a 1280x1024 display. Anyone out there familiar with the video out of DEC workstations? Can you offer advice and help? Email please. PS: My gut feeling, without actually trying it out, is that the VS3520 will work and the VS3100 might work.
