This may be a naive question, but I need an answer quick... How can I tell the difference (without loading an o/s) between a VaxStation II and a VaxStation 3200? I have two machines in BA23 enclosures, one marked on the "power panel" as a VaxStation II (I believe this is correct), and the other says it is a VaxStation 3200. I'd like to move my VaxStation II to the 3200 (if that's what it is) by moving the disks into that chassis. When powered on, both systems indicate level KA630-1.2A during self test. Does this mean that the box marked as a 3200 is really a II? Thanks in advance. I thought the VAXstation 3200 had a KS650 CPU, the KA630 is a MicroVAX II level CPU with the 78032 uprocessor. The 3xxx has the 78034 uP which is the 4-MIPS chip for the entire MicroVAX 3xxx line. Did you buy the 3200 used? Someone could have sold you a BA23 with a MV II KA630 CPU and told you it was a 3200... Otherwise I must have my facts mixed up.
