Is it possible to perform a low level formatting of a DEC RL01K data cartridge on an LSI-11/23 with an RL01 drive and an RLV11 controller (or another PDP-11 in a similar configuration)? If so, does anyone have a UNIX executable or source code which will format the RL01K? UNIX 'C' source or PDP assembly would be best but any other source would also be of help. The disk packs in question had been previously bulk erased so a low level formatting is required. Please reply back directly by EMAIL since I don't have direct access to netnews (a friend posted this for me). Any information would be appreciated.
