In the past I've been know to rag on DSIN more than a little. Tonight I dialed in to see if there was anything useful for the 5800 or 3.1C. While there wasn't, a little poking around showed that things were in better shape than a few months back. o searching for "security" actually dug up three articles listing the well known problems with pre 3.x versions of Ultrix! o searching for "update" brought up a nice list of which distribution media goes with with version and release. Unfortunatly searching for "patches" didn't bring up any summaries of any of the available patch tapes, nor were there any "flashes" to alert one to the security problems or other "things you ought to know about". Definitly an improvement, but lots of room to grow... -- George Robbins - now working for, uucp: {uunet|pyramid|rutgers}!cbmvax!grr but no way officially representing arpa: cbmvax!grr@uunet.uu.net Commodore, Engineering Department fone: 215-431-9255 (only by moonlite)
