Does anybody know of any organizations that provide DECNET training? We're specifically looking for something to guide an implementation - basic architectural description, protocol specs, and/or general information about DECNET based internets. We have tried DEC but they seem to only come up with operational/trouble- shooting type courses. Please reply directly do this mailbox. Thanks J. G. Serpa 3Com

If you want to implement Phase IV, then the order code for the published DECnet-DNA Network Management Functional Spec V4.0 aa-x437a-tk .......... Routing Layer Functional Spec V2.0 aa-x435a-tk .......... Ethernet Node Product Arch. Spec V1.0 aa-x440a-tk .......... Ethernet Data Link Functiional Spec V1.0 aa-y298a-tk .......... Maintenance Operations Functional Spec V3.0 aa-x436a-tk .......... NSP Functional Spec V4.0 aa-x439a-tk .......... General Description aa-n149a-tc .......... Ethernet Specification V2.0 aa-k759b-tk The above I typed in from the "Related Documentation" Appendix of the 1987 April-June "Networks and Communications Buyer's Guide". It also says to order the architecture specs through DECdirect. I just found a "1989 July-December" version of the buyers guide and it has one additional spec list, but for Phase V: DNA Phase V General Description aa-dnapv-gd Have fun! /--------------------------------------------------------------\ |Jeff Michaud michaud@decwrl.dec.com michaud@decvax.dec.com| |DECnet-ULTRIX #include <standard/disclaimer.h> | \--------------------------------------------------------------/
