I'm trying to compile the Andrew Toolkit on our DECstations.
This package uses dynamic loading modules which only work if everything
is compiled with the -G 0 flag to cc.
Unfortunately this requirement also applies to all modules linked
in from libc.a and libm.a. The libc distributed with ULTRIX 3.{0,1}
seems to be compiled with the default (-G 8) flag and is unusable.
The installation instructions for ATK tells me that a libc_G0.a was
distributed earlier. Does anyone know where I can find a libc_G0.a ?
Also, as distributed, there is a symbolic link /lib/libm_G0.a pointing
(thru other links) to /lib/libm.a. Are the modules in this archive really
-G 0 modules or is DEC just playing around with their customers ?
