Following are the performance figures for various Ethernet interfaces
including the DEBNI :
debni 330 i/o's per sec
debna 135
delqa 120
delua 100
deuna 45
i/o = 4 block i/o (typical average in diskserving)
These figures were presented during a lecture at the latest
DECUS Europe Symposium in Den HAAG ( the Netherlands).
It was also stated that for the VAX 85x0 series for example
the DEBNA is the limiting resource for MSCP disk serving.
If you upgrade to a DEBNI the VAX CPU (possibly) becomes the bottleneck
for MSCP disk serving...
