Following are the performance figures for various Ethernet interfaces including the DEBNI : debni 330 i/o's per sec debna 135 delqa 120 delua 100 deuna 45 i/o = 4 block i/o (typical average in diskserving) These figures were presented during a lecture at the latest DECUS Europe Symposium in Den HAAG ( the Netherlands). It was also stated that for the VAX 85x0 series for example the DEBNA is the limiting resource for MSCP disk serving. If you upgrade to a DEBNI the VAX CPU (possibly) becomes the bottleneck for MSCP disk serving... -- Marc Elsen (System Manager/Software Engineer) Katholieke Universiteit Leuven Dep. E.S.A.T. Kard.
