Has anyone run into the problem of running a script in sh5 and getting the shell killed on an unaligned access. The script I am running is starting an executable and has an embedded 'cat' to supply the executable with commands. If the file being 'catted' is less than 50 lines/~2540 characters, it works fine. But if it is larger than that, it chokes with the error: /s/d/i/gnhs3pht pnhrs:gnhs3phfra etdlt pnhrs:guc2ph(ofr f)pt/s/d/i/guc2pht pnhrs:guc2phfra etbe: cannot open pid 23456 (sh5) was killed on unaligned access, at pc 0x40b500 If I split the file and use two 'cats', I get the same error. Has anyone seen this, is it a limitation with sh5, does anyone have a workaround for it. A co-worker uases the same command on his SUN system (SUN's sh) with no problem.
