Some executive types at one of my sites heard a rumour that INGRES was going to be acquired by DEC. Anyone else heard this rumour?

Anyone else heard this rumour? DEC did acquire a large sum (~20%) of RTI stock, but I would doubt if DEC was going to pick up a majority. From what I saw, DEC was concerned about plans to port Ingres to the Sparc, while delaying work on a MIPS/DECStation release... Yes, our DEC Salesrep has told us, that DEC acquired a 20 % share of INGRES, they also stated that they don't want to buy more.
