[comp.sys.dec] VAX and VMS maintenance unbundling - a query

   Hi Netters,

   Our site is investigating 3rd party maintenance for our VAX system.
Does your site, or any other that you know of, purchase the "old style"
media and documentation only maintenance for VMS?  For layered products?
Have you been forced into a bundled s/w and h/w package that includes
telephone support?  (My impression, based on the questions I see on the
net, is that a lot of you get by with minimal assistance from Digital.) 
I'm asking Canadian sites specifically, but any information you can provide
about maintenance practises in the US is also welcome.

   Please email your replies to me, since I doubt this will be of interest
to the majority of you who are based in the US (although I would still like
to know about the US situation).  If demand dictates, I'll summarize to the
