We have a Vax 6310, running Ultrix 3.0, we tried to upgrade it to Ultrix 3.1, but we have trouble making the new kernel, the report is this : kmem_alloc(devname, char *, MAXPATHLEN, KM_TEMP); syntax error KM_TEMP undefined variable any suggestions ?, please send mail to me. Thanks.. josevela@mtecv2.mty.itesm.mx

I think all Ultrix calls are supposed by via the KM_ALLOC macro. If it's something else, you might want to check if you successfully updgraded or were left with a mix of old and new pieces. -- George Robbins - now working for, uucp: {uunet|pyramid|rutgers}!cbmvax!grr but no way officially representing: domain: grr@cbmvax.commodore.com Commodore, Engineering Department phone: 215-431-9349 (only by moonlite)
