Can DEC's optical disc player play music CDs the way that the RS/600 optical player can? On the same note, I'm getting ready to purchase a workstation and the DEC salespeople are suggesting the optical disk as a software distribution mechanism. Its cheaper than a TK50 and I have other backup capabilites (Exabyte). I won't have acess to a TK50 if I go optical. Is this a reasonable thing to do? -- Phil Windley | windley@ted.cs.uidaho.edu Department of Computer Science | University of Idaho | Moscow, ID 83843 | Phone: (208) 885-6501

It's a big pain making the 9-track because I have to move my stuff to a computer I don't control where they don't give me enough space and the drive's always broken and (etc. etc. etc.) If you will need to send other people tapes, make sure you know how you will do it if you don't have a TK50. +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | Rod Stephens | "Haven't I told you not to play | | GTE Laboratories, Inc | with my super-weapons?
