I am assembling a tape which will be distributed by the DECUS Graphics SIG that will focus on graphics applications. The tape is similar in intent to the DECUS TeX tape but with a focus on computer graphics rather than typesetting. The goal of assembling the tape is to provide a single source for computer graphics applications that may be used on workstations and other graphics devices by DECUS members and others. I anticipate that the tape will primarily consist of graphics applications that use the X window system which were either written for VMS or have been ported to VMS. However, I do plan to include graphics applications that work under Ultrix ( Unix ), miscellaneous applications and command files, and other graphics related applications. The tape will be distributed through the DECUS National LUG Council as a Graphics SIG tape and through the DECUS Library. I plan for the tape to be ready so that it may be distributed in January 1991.
