Hello, Well, here's a new one for me. We've recently set up some Sun and DEC 3100 machines in our library. Everything seems to work fine except for ftp going from one of our machines to a remote machine. That is, if we try to move a file from a local machine to a remote machine, the transfer goes so slowly as to usually timeout. Moving a file in the other direction works fine. (By remote, I mean a machine off campus.) We've set up machines on the net before, so I believe we've got all the basics correct: - We've checked our netmask & broadcast mask - We've checked to make sure the default route is correct - Trailers are off. Any ideas? I've not seen anything like this before and am really stumped. I can provide more information, but am hoping this is a problem someone might have experienced and would know the answer off the top of their head. Tim Lynch, Mann Library
