I'm trying to locate anyone who has developed a converter/filter/cda-driver/etc that allows the conversion of files from HPGL graphics language to Digital DDIF format. I posted this request last week to comp.os.vms, but received no responses. I am now attempting the request again with a larger distribution. If you know of any packages, either public domain or comercial, please let me know. Thank you Lawrence Fisher Internet address: FISHER@EDWARDS-VAX.AF.MIL

Lawrence, Digital has a product, DECview3D, which will read in an HPGL file, and write out a DDIF snapshot. It also produces PostScript(tm), SIXEL, and other output formats. The current version runs on VMS, and conversion must be done interactively. The next point release, currently under development, converts in batch, and a subsequnet release will run on Ultrix.
