[comp.sys.dec] DEC VT220 Emulation on PC's

shawn@ka.excelan.com (Shawn Nunley) (11/29/90)

A while back, Ron Zelman posted here asking for a recomendation for
a VT220 emulation package. I posted a followup to recommend Zstem 240 from
KEA Systems. The address I posted for this company was out of date, so
here is the new address for those of you who are interested in the *best*
VT2xx emulator around.

KEA Systems Ltd.
3738 North Fraser Way, Unit 101
Burnaby, B.C.
Canada V5J 5G1

Phone Numbers... 604-431-0727 or 800-663-8702

Incase you missed my first post, Zstem 240 is the hottest VT emulator there is.
Not only is the keyboard mapped perfectly, the characters on the screen look
*exactly* like a VT220 terminal. The macro language is simple to use, but can
handle tasks as complicated as you could possibly dream up. I actually have
my VAX set up to remotely reprogram the macros that are located at the remote
sites. The users *never* have to learn the macro language, and I have complete
control over updating their local software.

Another great thing about Zstem is it's ability to use just about any COM port,
such as Int-14 (for networks or X.25 cards). LAT is supported also.

I have no affiliation with KEA Systems Ltd. other than being a satisfied
customer.
