We are starting to collect workstation consoles in our machine room where we buy workstation class machines and use them as servers. Is it possible to yank the console (bitmapped screen, keyboard, mouse) and use them similar to an X terminal somewhere else? -- Dave Rasmussen - Systems Programmer/Manager, UW-Milwaukee Computing Svcs Div. From article <8131@uwm.edu>, by dave@convex.csd.uwm.edu (David A Rasmussen): We are starting to collect workstation consoles in our machine room where we buy workstation class machines and use them as servers. Is it possible to yank the console (bitmapped screen, keyboard, mouse) and use them similar to an X terminal somewhere else? Let me clarify this. I meant to say a couple of us were pondering what could be done if we took one of the replaced machines, a DEC 3200, could we hook 2 3200 consoles into one 3200 as seperate terminals basically. -- Dave Rasmussen - Systems Programmer/Manager, UW-Milwaukee Computing Svcs Div.
