We're thinking of buying a uVAX/VAXstation 3100 to integrate into our LAVC. The question is whether `MSCP-device sharing' works with SCSI devices. Our sales rep asked somebody and was told that it probably ought to -- that's nice, but we are still cautious since we don't want to buy a system and then discover that it won't do what we want. Does anybody have experience (good/bad) in this arena? It seems pretty clear that a uVAX3100 can get at other disks in the cluster (DSSI, RA81, etc) on uVAX3400's and a VAX8250, but will they be able to share the VS3100's disks? -- The SCSI disks work fine for MSCP shared disks. We have both DEC and 3rd party drives on our VAXStation 3100's and 3100 model 38s. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- Kenneth A.
