Has anyone had experience with vt100 compatible terminals, such as Informer, Wyse, GraphOn, Visual, Miroterm (or any others)? Are they really vt100 compatible? Are they inexpensive? Anyone used the new vt200 series? Thanks, marv ...!seismo!umcp-cs!aplvax!marv

From: Ole Jorgen Jacobsen <ole@nta-vax> I've got a TeleVideo 970, it is fully VT100 compatible and has *much* more including 32 user-programmable function keys (for nice things like "ls -laR|more" on one key), more attributes (blinking, half-intesity), 3 pages of memory and 7 International character sets, - that goes down extremely well here in Norway! The various modes of scrolling include fast/smooth which I really *love*. As for price, I can get it for 2/3 of a VT100 here, you can pro- bably get it for much less in America. <OLE> <370> In-real-life: Ole J. From: Ken Cowan <cowan@udel-relay> I've seen a Visual 100 in action. (Actually, I've beat on it quite a bit.) As far as I know, it is completely compatible. I think it comes with AVO and a printer port as standard equipment. The only difference that I've found is that the case is metal (not plastic). The other difference is that there is an adjustable foot on the front of the CRT to change the viewing angle. Personally, I would opt for one of these over a VT100 unless there is a concern with maintenance contracts. Ken
