The Computer Science Students' Society of University of British Columbia has the opportunity to accept a DEC PDP 11/83 as a donation to our society. It has 2 Mb ram, 2 X 384 Mb Wren V drives and several vt100 terminals and a few printers. Questions: How BIG (physically) is this classic? Does it require cooling (other than room A/C)? What are its power requirements (i.e. 110V or 220V)? Does the 11/83 usu. have SCSI interface(s)? If not, are there SCSI interface avail (3rd party)? How about ethernet? How about memory expansion? Can we stuff 8Mb into it? The donator didn't (for whatever reasons) have the answers to these questions. I would appreciate some knowledgeable insite.. thanks, Brad (CSSS - UBC)
