[comp.sys.dec] Need a PRO-350 disk power supply cable

gleason@mwk.uucp (02/09/91)

I am installing an RD-53 in my PRO-350, to replace the aging RD-51.
To complete this, I need a longer four wire power cable, since the
one for the RD-51 was barely long enough to reach the old drive, and
the RD-53 has its connector on the other side.

It looks like an RX-50 power supply cable would do, since it it
the same type of cable, only longer (since the RX-50 is on the
other side of the cabinet). If anyone has one laying around not
in use, I'd gladly lay a few bucks on 'em for it...

Why go through the work of finding one of those? Just drop in at your
local PC clone shop and ask 'em for a hard disk power extension cable.
They have them and they're only a few bucks (some places will give you
one if they recognize you). These have the 4-pin connectors on each end,
one plug and one socket, and come in varying lengths (with 4-6 inches
being most common).
