I've been trying to find out how to configure DECWindows to make use of the advanced graphics features in the VAXstation 3520/3540 hardware. The hardware manual that came with the unit indicates that it has alot of nice features, such as hardware "virtual displays" that DECWindows doesn't seem to be using. BTW, as I understand it, the "virtual display" allows a region of the screen to be handled as a separate display (memory operations, colormaps, etc) from the rest of the screen. Can anyone help? I'm running VMS 5.3 and DECWindows 5.3. Jon -- Jon Brinkmann Astronomy Department Internet: jvb7u@Virginia.EDU University of Virginia UUCP: ...!uunet!virginia!jvb7u P.O.
