I have recently been given a RL/RL drive and would like to attempt to hook it up as a SCSI HD. The drive was manufactured by Integrated Solutions; the actual drive mechanisms inside the enclosure are IMI5012H (?). I also have the IS RL101 Winchester Disk Controller... (for all the good that does me... I really DON'T want to hack an LSI-11 to SCSI adapter cludge, and I think using a 11/73 as a BIG microcontroller is a serious waste...) So here are my questions & pleas: 1: Are there any SCSI<->IMI5012H controllers available? 2: Can anyone tell me the pinouts for the above mentioned drives? (A desciption of the handshaking & general protocol would be nice also...) 3: Would I be stupid (and insane) to try and cludge a SCSI replacement for the RL101 ? 4: Does anyone know the phone# and/or anddress of Integrated Solutions, INC.? Well thanx for your time.... please email me (i'm posting this to a few groups that I don't normally read).... arpajian@rodan.syr.edu p.s. -> yes I do realize that this is a hell of alot of work to go thru for a 10M drive... -- Dean Arpajian (aka---> arpajian@rodan.syr.edu) std. disclaimer: if I expressed an opinion, remember this: it's simply my opinion. period.
