Has anyone seen a driver and/or utility software for VMS (5.3) that allows use of a QIC SCSI tape on an MV3100 ? I'd like to be able to read a tape generated from a UNIX system with dd, tar, cpio, etc... Pointers to an ftp site, mail server, "you can't do that", whatever will be most appreciated. -- < Alan H. Buy a QIC-SCSI drive, say from DEC. Buy DECshell from DEC; check recent DECUS library tapes for the various TARs. read/write directly. I have been working to port PAX to VMS periodically but not very successfully so you are likely better off with tar or dd/blocked card images
