Hi, Sorry if this is but a FAQ, I'm fairly new to this newsgroup... Does anybody know how to read VMS savesets (images created by Backup commnad) on Unix? I have several VMS backups copied from magtapes (now they reside on Unix disk), and I can read them as Unix data files, bue I have no idea of the saveset format. Writing a tiny tool, I could read and restore few files, but I could not read the correct file size, RMS options, time-date information and file types. The backup was standalone backup, so they contain some system files and span multiple volumes. Is there such tool that read VMS saveset and restore on Unix? (I have no Vaxen around, so it should run on Domain/OS or ... .. HP-UX.) ---- Takashi Matsuzawa, Japan CPO, Yokogawa Hewlett-Packard, mzw_t@hpujisa.hp.com
