[comp.sys.dec] Double logins

I had a problem:

   ...... Deleted a bunch .....

Solution: Modify /etc/inetd.conf so that inetd spawns off /usr/etc/telnetd
instead of /usr/etc/telnetd.gw.  Just swapped the comment characters.

Why does telnetd.gw do that ..... Another mystery of life ......

It just started doing that in 4.0. It only happens when using telnet
from certain systems. I never got the double prompt when telneting from
a sun, or bsd 4.3, only from the Merit network.

Thats Rochester Michigan, and the Twins will probably do better then the
Tigers!
