[comp.sys.dec] dxpsview

da@cs.brown.edu (David Ascher) (04/09/91)

Setup: DecStation 5000/200

I can't seem to get the postscript previewer to work on any postscript
file whatsoever. I consistently get:

X Toolkit Warning: Idb__BM_GetRecord: Get block failed - DRMFailure
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Serial number of failed request: 1128
Current serial number in output stream: 1129

Any ideas?

The release notes say you should set "watch progress" to work around this.

If the DECstation 5000/200 you refer to is a PX model, try
selecting the Watch Progress option from the Options menu
*before* you open any file for viewing.
