Hi netters. Is there any way to use the Display PostScript engine in the Decstation to do off-screen imaging, or is that hardcoded in as part of the license agreement from Adobe? I.e., would it be possible to print a PostScript file on a non-Postscript printer by using the interpreter that comes on the Decstation? --david -- == David Ascher -- Brown University, Providence RI 02912 == Internet: dascher@brownvm.Brown.EDU (Internet) == UUCP: uunet!brunix!da == Bitnet: dascher@brownvm

Note: I don't mean ghostscript... it isn't "good" enough, although I
think it's a great idea. There are some files that make it through
real Adobe PostScript and that don't make it thru GhostScript.

You can do anything you want with the image data, including converting to formats appropriate for your printers. -- Ken Lee DEC Western Software Laboratory, Palo Alto, Calif.
