Use savimg (from the unsupported X11 components) and then pass the X image file to lpr. The LJ250 filter should then convert this to sixel (colour!). -- Stephen Carpenter sac@decuk.uvo.dec.com UK Ultrix Support Digital Equipment Corporation

I'm looking for a utility that will allow a screen print from X-windows (DECwindows ?) in sixel format for an LJ250 colour inkjet. -- Bradley White. | Internet: bradley@phillip.edu.au Phillip Institute of Technology, | Computer Centre, | Plenty Road, | Bundoora, Victoria, Australia. |

The latest version of ULTRIX (Version 4.2) includes the option to create a screen dump in Sixel format from the Session Manager. (It can also do DDIF or PostScript, although the latter is still greyscale only). Use the "Print Screen..." entry from the Session Manager's "Customize" pulldown to change to Sixel. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Wood Corporate Worksystems Team Digital Equipment Corp. ========================================================================
