System: Ultrix 4.1, DEC 5500 and a 16 port serial board (9 pin connectors) Printer: Mannesmann Tally 1805 (Apparently acting like DTE) (25 pin) I got them connected and the breakout box says that the right lines are crossed, but no data comes out. Nothing. The lpq shows the job "printing via dev" and the /usr/spool/lp/lock reads "waiting for block on 'ttylp' " My other printers are connected through a Micom connection and they work fine. It's just the direct connection from the serial board to the printer that seems to be screwy. Any lines I have to cross/not cross?
