komatsu@alcor.usc.edu (-----> Dave) (10/07/90)
First of all we are having some trouble with mass mailing on the e-mail address. Will anybody willing to help solve this problem send e-mail to: komatsu@aludra.usc.edu. The bottom line is we have over 150 names and need a program to automatically mail a message to all of the addresses. Thanks and now the more important stuff for all you sound people. -------------------------------------------------- The Sound Site Newsletter Volume 1 #1 October 1990 -------------------------------------------------- If you received this newsletter by e-mail you have two options (1) Do nothing! You are already on the sound list. (2) Send e-mail to: komatsu@uhunix.uhcc.hawaii.edu. Make sure that your message begins on a new line and contains: REMOVE: your e-mail address and this will remove your name from the mailing list. If you are reading this on a USENET 'rn' newsgroup and DID NOT RECEIVE this by e-mail and want to be added onto our mailing list send the following to: komatsu@uhunix.uhcc.hawaii.edu. Make sure that your message begins on a new line and contains: ADD-ME: your e-mail address By adding yourself to the mailing list the following will happen. (1) You will continue to receive these newsletters telling you of advances in sound on computers; and sound files, including, but not limited to SoundBlaster/MIDI/REmac/PLAYMAC. (2) You will receive a special copy of PLAYMAC 2.0 which is a point-n-shoot shell for REmac. (Sorry this only works on IBM and compatible PC's with a 80286-10 or higher CPU). (3) Periodic updates as to when new files are available on the Sound Site.
