Distortion boxes are SIMPLE ! Two solutions:


------ (A/D converter) ---------- (D/A converter) -------
                     Here you switch
                     bits 0 and 1,
                     2 and 3, 4 and
                     5 etc.

Or, simpler yet, just an amp stage (you know, four resistors,
a transistor and a battery) or possibly two in a row.

Just see to it that there's REAL overload in one of the stages
(i.e. overload either the input stage of the guitar amp with
this amp, or the input stage of this amp)
