[rec.music.makers] Uni-Man in ST, what requirements?

s37837k@saha.hut.fi (Jari Lehto) (05/13/91)

Anyone, who is using the Uni-Man editor/librarian:

How can I get it started??? It is installed to my harddisk exactly the way
manual tells me to, but when the bar that has the "Select 'Cancel' to..."
appears, no file-selector appears, and after I have managed to get the
drop-down bar to the screen, the drop downs do not work and the program
goes sooner or later to eternal loop saying, "Something is wrong, save and
try again" or something like that. Nothing sensible or useful can be done
with it, it just does these things...

I have a Mega4, with two 85Mb Seagates hooked by ICD hostadapter, a HD-floppy
and a DD-floppy, and the SLM 804. There is the TOS 1.4 in it. All this is
installed in the Lighthouse Tower.

I have tried bootin up "clean" from floppy, but it does not work even then.
Do things like harddisk-cache, extra folders, TOS bug-fix patches, HD-adapter
or things like that affect?

Have you had any luck using this editor-librarian under MROS?

If I am forced to sell this program, because of compatibility problems,
can you suggest any universal editor/librarian that can cope with
Ensoniq VFX and Korg M3R, and runs under MROS with Cubase???
Please tell me where I can get one, I am familiar with importing things from
US, Germany, UK etc...

Any help will be appreciated!!!
