Does anyone know if there are cards/boxes that you can connect to Macintoshes or Atari computers that will turn these machines into digital samplers? Since samplers are really computers with fancy D/A A/D converters on them it seems like a natural. Samplers today are looking more and more like computers. The Roland S-550 resembles more a computer than anything else. Before you respond, don't bother mentioning the Hybrid Arts ADAP project. It isn't quite up to snuff yet. But it is exemplary of just the sort of thing I'm looking for. I'd prefer that it connect to a Macintosh II, but Atari's are fine too. Opinions and experiences always welcome.... -- John T.
