[rec.music.synth] Patch Editors and my DX11....

(I don't believe in the line eater, I don't!!!)

OK, I have a 1040ST Color system and a Yamaha DX11 synthesizer. I am
interested in getting s decent patch editor/librarian PD - or cheap.
I currently have been using a program called TXLIB2 which is a share-
ware product written for the TX81Z. It will transfer patches *to* the
DX11 fine, and even edit patches *in* the DX11 fine, but when I try to
sedn patches *to* the computer I just get the first one or two patches
correct and the rest of the 32 are all garbage. I know some friends
with TX modules for whom the program works fine *both* ways. I have
tried the System Exclusive feature of Michtron's SuperConductor MIDI
sequencing program and get it to receive the patch info from the DX11,
but when I try to send it back to the DX11 I get a 'MIDI CSUM Error'
which tells me that some type of handshaking was missing.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I do plan on getting
Hybrid Arts SmpteTrack soon and a decent librarian/editor, but the
cash is scarce and the wolves are at the door - so a temporary solution
would be great!!!

Thanx....
