The MIDI File spec is available for $3 from the International MIDI Assn, 5316 W. 57th St., LA, Ca. 90056, USA. Musical analysis software is an interesting concept. No-one does it commercially. There may be some university activity. -- {pacbell,hplabs,ucbvax,lll-lcc}!well!warren
