I've been thinking about important programs in the history of computing and very often you have one program that becomes important because it was the first commercial success and had breakthrough features. VisiCalc for instance was the first important spreadsheet program. So what was/were the first MIDI sequencer on a PC that set the stage for what all sequencer programs should be.
