[rec.music.synth] first major commercial MIDI sequencer program

mark@giza.cis.ohio-state.edu (Mark Jansen) (10/29/90)

I've been thinking about important programs in the history of
computing and very often you have one program that becomes important because
it was the first commercial success and had breakthrough features. VisiCalc
for instance was the first important spreadsheet program.

So what was/were the first MIDI sequencer on a PC that set the stage
for what all sequencer programs should be. Dates and other detail are of
interest also. I do not read rec.music.synth so please email an answer from
that newsgroup.

	Thanks
