The University of Illinois CERL Music Group is pleased to announce the
availability of a demonstration version of Lime 0.5a, a powerful score
editing program for Macintosh SE and II series computers. A binhex'ed
stuffIt file containing the executable and manual can be copied via
anonymous FTP from /pub/lime on novamail.cerl.uiuc.edu (internet
number: 128.174.180.9). Read the "README" file for further instructions.

New Features:
* The new manual is distributed as a PostScript document.
* Stems between staves of a grand staff.
* Breves (double whole notes).
* Center Hyphen and Extend Underline (for voice music).
* Cue Size Adjust to automatically adjust the size of text annotations
if they appear on cue size staves.
* Improved slur shape and placement, especially in multiple voices on
  the same staff.
* Improvements and bug fixes requested by users.

If you get Demonstration Lime, please send email to L-Haken@uiuc.edu
so we can keep track of who is evaluating it.

We recommend a 68030-based Macintosh with a hard disk and at
least 2 megabyte of RAM. The MacPlus and MacPortable will also work
(given sufficient memory), but more slowly.

This demonstration version of Lime supersedes all older versions.
Please replace any older versions currently available from network
servers. Thanks!
