I just unpacked the archives from VN 1/88 in comp.sources.unix and diffed against the "master". Two files showed up differences, one of which is going to create compilation problems: 1 config_std.h - 2 lines appear to have been chopped - an empty line and the comment start around line 40 (OLDRC comment). Put in the comment start, and you'll be identical with the intended source file. This is in archive 2. 2 vn.man - (manual page) - for some reason every line beginning with a period now begins with 2 periods. This is in archive 1. I checked the archives I sent Rich, and they appear to have gone out OK from this end. I would be curious to know how 2) happened - I suppose a mailer could be at fault here, trying to escape all the nroff statements for some arcane reason. In the case of 1), I assume Rich built the thing, and would have caught it, so I think somebody's news transmission hiccupped. Anyway, if you fix the 2 things above, your source will match what I sent out, assuming the articles that arrived at your site match the ones arriving here. -- {amdahl, sun, mtxinu, hoptoad, cpsc6a}!rtech!bobm
