[net.unix-wizards] S on a Sun workstation. Can it be done???

Do you have or know of anyone who has ATT's S (statistics/
plotting) software running on a Sun Micro workstation.
Can it be done? I would like to run S on a Sun. Will S plot
on a Versatec?

Are there any better (and equally as inexpensive - to a
university) stat/plotting packages that run on a Sun?

Yes it is possible to run S on a Sun workstation. In fact it does not
take any major modification of the source code to get things going.
People at the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin ahve been
using S quite satisfactorily on their Sun for quite some time now.
