It appears, from reports I am getting, that some news site somewhere truncated a line in the Elm patch 2.3 patch 4. (The one where I forgot to put the patch number on the header line). The 'malformed line from patch' error is due to the long line being split by some news sites into two lines. If you put it back together to one line, all should be ok. Below is the correct contents of the line (but split into multiple lines so the news software doesn't kill it again). Please make sure that yours says what this one does and its all on one line (I know how to make it multiple lines in the shell script, but if you want future patches to patch cleanly, you have to track our sources) ! pth="/usr/ucb /bin /usr/bin /usr/local /usr/local/bin /usr/lbin /usr/5bin /vol/local/bin /etc /usr/lib /lib /usr/local/lib /sys5.3/bin /sys5.3/usr/bin /bsd4.3/bin /bsd4.3/usr/bin /bsd4.3/usr/ucb /usr/convex /usr/mmdf/bin ${BSDBASE-/bsd}/usr/ucb ${BSDBASE-/bsd}/bin ${BSDBASE-/bsd}/usr/bin" -- ===================================================================== Sydney S.
