Has anyone done any work on the dmf-32 driver for 4.2? The distributed version seems to randomly die on the Able VMZ-32. The TODO list at the front of the driver was not very encouraging. Any help would be appreciated. -- //Z\\ James M. Ziobro Ziobro.Henr@parc-maxc {rochester,rocks34,amd70}!rocksvax!z

We use an essentially stock 4.2 dmf driver on our VMZ32 with no problems. Is there a chance it's hardware? -- Ed Gould ucbvax!mtxinu!ed

If the driver for your VMZ32 (amd probably dmf32) uses the auto xon/xoff mode (I know ours does), once an xoff has been seen, the only way for transmission to resume is to receive xon or controller clear. Perhaps they can be fiddled by using the maintenance modes... This feature gives the appearance of hung lines, but typing xon brings them to life again... Chris Maltby University of Sydney
