[comp.mail.misc] Want info on High Energy Physics network

rsk@j.cc.purdue.edu.UUCP (02/06/87)

A user here is looking for information the "High Energy Physics" network
(or some similar name). I looked through the "Notable Networks" paper and
couldn't find anything on it (tho' it is before noon, so maybe I should
try again later). Information and/or a contact address would be highly
appreciated. (Note: we're aware of SPAN and MFENET.)

Thanks,

The High Energy Physics network is called HEPnet. I believe it is a DECnet
system. I have seen and heard of it (you can reach sites in Japan and
Switzerland via this network by simpyl doing a VMS SET HOST (8-)). But sorry
I have no further info other than this.
