argh I really prefer using MMDF, however it doesn't fit into all the kinds of machines we have around here. So, I'm looking into using sendmail on the 7300's, 3b2's, and Sun's. So, in order to learn as little as possible about sendmail I'm looking at ease. I'm disappointed that Purdue isn't using ease internally, and that the sample configuration files they include are incomplete, have syntax errors, and are as well commented as the sendmail configuration files which I've looked at. I feel confident that I can learn ease, however it'd be real nice if someone had one handy ... :-) ... The type of machines which I'll be using this with are all connected to ether and would use TCP/SMTP to send mail out. They'll be sending anything but local mail out to a central machine which is much smarter than the other guys around. (I've been using this strategy successfully within my MMDF hosts, and want to extend the strategy to SendMail hosts). I suppose the configuration should be in two major parts. The first is something which canonicalizes addresses and the second which figures out if this is local mail. -- ----- David Herron, Local E-Mail Hack, david@ms.uky.edu, david@ms.uky.csnet ----- {uunet, cbosgd}!ukma!david, david@UKMA.BITNET ----- ----- Je parle francais comme une vache espagnole.
