References: At work, we are getting to the place where we are beginning to think about installing news 2.11 . Since I havent really seen many patches or bug complaints in the last 3-4 months, either someone has gone on strike, folks have quit using it, or it is working fine for folks. What I would be interested in getting is a set of notes from some of the folks who have converted from 2.10.3 to 2.11 (.8?) as to the steps which appear to work best, dangers to avoid, tips to make things go easier, hardware which cause special problems, etc. At work we are currently running Ultrix 1.2; if you have experience on this particular setup, and had any peculiar problems, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Finally, if there are any special additional programs which did not come with the news release but which you find especially helpful under news 2.11 could you give a reccommendation? I can look around for things and try to track source down, etc. I appreciate anything that can be provided. With 6 months or so experience out there, I would think that things should go pretty smoothly after I get the above info! P.S. If there are fun and games that need to be played with the sendmail.cf, I may be in REAL trouble; I have had the expert's lecture (avolio's DECUS talk, but I lost all of my handwritten notes!
