Mail passing through amdahl from 2am to 3pm on Thursday, Dec 12 was
dropped. The problem has been resolved, though 136 messages were lost
in the mean time. A message stating that the command /bin/rmail failed
was sent to the senders of all mail that was lost, if the sender address
was valid. However, the message came from the UUCP subsystem and did
not contain the message text. Users who sent mail on wednesday and
thursday that may have gone through amdahl are urged to resend any
important mail.
