[comp.mail.misc] Where do I get RFC's?

norm@ontenv.UUCP (Norman Soley) (12/29/87)

This is one that should probably be in the "Frequently Asked Questions"
paper in news.announce.newusers but since it isn't I'll ask anyway:

Where does one get RFC's (electronic or paper, doesn't matter)?

The source for the Request For Comments documents, DDN Protocol specifications,
and all other Internet documentation, is:

	DDN Network Information Center
	SRI International
	333 Ravenswood Avenue
	Room EJ291
	Menlo Park, CA 94025
	+1 415 326 6200

The documents can be ordered in hardcopy; machine readable copies are available
via anonymous FTP from SRI-NIC.ARPA. A number of the mod.sources archive sites
(including uunet and pyramid) also have many of the RFCs online.
