We're running uumail on a Sun-3/160 with a mostly standard sendmail.cf file.
Our problem revolves around address such as xyz@ucbvax.edu.
We tried using smail, along with its sendmail.cf, but although it could handle
the internet style addresses, it completely screwed up our local net mailing
and was also clobbering the return path info on the mail we sent out on the net.
As a result we went to uumail and back to the standard sendmail.cf. Our
sendmail now rejects any mail with internet addresses to any domain except
.uucp. Uucp style addresses work OK. Our uupath seems to be able to resolve
the internet stuff.
If anyone out there has modified their sendmail.cf on a Sun, I would be
grateful if you could mail me a diff script that would make ours work
right.
