[comp.mail.misc] Mailing to FIDONET?

Does anyone have information about how to mail to someone on
FIDONET?  What is FIDONET, for that matter?  I'd really appreciate
any assistance.  Mail your responses to me, and if there is interest
I will summarize and post.

Well, I only have gotten one response to my question so far.  This
response should be enough, although I have not yet found out if the
mail I sent actually got there!  Here is the letter Mark Smith sent
me:

Send your mail to:
rubbs!net!node!First_Last@rutgers.edu
So, to send me mail on the RU board:
rubbs!107!330!Mark_Smith@rutgers.edu
That should work.

So now we all know!
